3/4 a fluid ounce or 2.25 centilitres of Grenadine
1 fluid ounce or 3 centilitres of Rum

Pour grenadine into a shot glass then carefully pour rum into the glass, keeping it from mixing. Once settled carefully place a cherry in glass on top of the grenadine. The a cherry should float in between the grenadine and the rum.
