- (For making Pastry Shells and French Tarts)
- 1-¾ cups bread flour
- ¼ cup Argo or Kingsford's Cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2/3 cup Mazola
- Cold water to moisten
Instructions:
To prepare this Rich Pie Crust Recipe, first sift the dry ingredients together and stir in the Mazola. The mixture will be very crumbly. Add just enough water to hold it together. Turn onto a floured board, roll at once and use.
Pastry Shells
Prepare Rich Pie Crust, roll to one-eighth inch thickness and fit onto inverted muffin pans, pricking about the edges to allow the air beneath to escape. Bake in a hot oven about fifteen minutes. Use in making tarts or instead of patty shells for the serving of creamed meat or fish.
