To prepare this Orange Date Pudding Recipe, first place two tablespoons of grated orange rind in a measuring cup and fill the cup with mashed, stoned dates, cut in small pieces. Add two cups of grated bread crumbs, three-fourths cup of sugar and one egg beaten with one cup of milk. Let it stand a few minutes, then add one and one-fourth cups of flour, sifted with two teaspoons of baking powder. Mix all together, pour into a buttered mold and steam for two hours. Serve with orange sauce.
