Instructions:
To prepare this Spiced Beef Recipe, first cover five pounds of fresh beef with cold water. Heat very gradually. When simmering, season with salt, pepper, a few blades of mace, two dozen cloves and the same of allspice. Simmer gently until the meat is in shreds, adding more water if necessary. When done remove the spice and turn into a plain mold. Turn out on a platter and serve with slices of hard cooked egg, lemon and parsley.
