Instructions:
To prepare this Fruit Soup Recipe, first put a quart of water in a saucepan, add six whole cloves, two sticks of cinnamon, the yellow peel of a lemon and four bitter almonds. Let this steep for one hour, then boil gently ten minutes. Strain into half a cup of sago, add another quart of water and simmer until clear, add two tablespoons of sugar, one teaspoon of salt and a pint of fruit juice -cherry, strawberry, currant or blackberry. Serve at once.
