Barley and Tomato Soup Recipe ingredients
- 1½ cups tomato
- 1½ cups water
- 1 small onion, sliced
- 2 tablespoons pearl barley
- ½ tablespoon oil or butter substitute
- 1 teaspoon salt
Instructions:
To prepare this Barley and Tomato Soup Recipe, first cook together all the ingredients except the barley for twenty minutes. Rub through a fine colander. Add water, if necessary, to make three-fourths quart. Put into a double boiler. Add the barley, which has been thoroughly washed, and cook four or five hours.
